Eric A. Hussey--On Media and Technology

Technology and media have become part of our day to day lives. How do you feel about this? Is it a positive thing? Negative thing? How would your life be different without technology and media?
I believe that it is a positive and a negative thing. I believe that it is a positive thing because it helps simplify life and it helps make things quicker. And way more efficient but I think that it is a negative because it takes away from an individual’s creativity at times. I believe that the simplicity of it makes the individual

It makes things too easy. The person doesn’t have to think about anything or put too much effort into it. For animation…you can click circles or other buttons to put a picture together themselves, whereas if you gave them a pencil and paper they wouldn’t be able to do any of that.

Life would be--at the fast pace that the world is moving at today without the advanced technology that we have, I believe that the economic world would be in a downfall…more so of a downfall than we are now.

Do you think media is biased? How so?
Media. Yes. It is. Dealing with the popular world, media focuses on superstars and athletic all stars and they are bias in that they want to get the most juicy story, however that can be. Whether that is building up a person to be better than they really are or breaking down a person and making them look bad for something that they possibly didn’t even do.
